Contact Premium Robinia Wood Supplier

Please reach us at premium.robinia@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Robinia (also known as Black Locust or False Acacia) is one of the most durable hardwoods in Europe. It's naturally resistant to rot, insects, and weather without any chemical treatment. With a lifespan of 25+ years outdoors, it's an excellent eco-friendly alternative to tropical hardwoods and chemically treated timber.

Sapwood is the outer layer of wood that's less durable and more prone to decay. Our sapwood-free Robinia timber contains only the dense, durable heartwood, ensuring maximum strength, longevity, and resistance to rot. This premium quality makes our timber ideal for outdoor applications and structural use.

We supply a comprehensive range of Robinia timber products including: round timber poles (various diameters), sawn planks and beams, decking boards, railway sleepers, fence posts, construction timber, and custom-cut specifications. All products are available in bulk quantities for wholesale buyers.

We stock round poles from 8 cm up to 35 cm in diameter (larger diameters are very rare and available only in limited quantities).

Planks are available in thicknesses ranging from 25 mm to 150 mm.

Standard lengths are available up to 6.5 meters.

Custom dimensions can be arranged for large orders. Please contact us with your specific requirements for availability and pricing.

All our Robinia timber is sustainably sourced from certified forests in Hungary. We work directly with local forestry operations to ensure responsible harvesting practices and maintain the highest quality standards. Our timber is FSC-certified and meets all European environmental regulations.

The minimum order quantity is typically a full truckload.

However, we can accommodate smaller quantities for specific projects or trial orders where possible.

Please contact us to discuss your requirements, and we will find the best solution for your needs.

Robinia timber has exceptional natural durability with a lifespan of 25-30 years in ground contact and 50+ years above ground without any treatment. This makes it one of the longest-lasting natural timbers available, significantly outlasting treated pine and many tropical hardwoods.

No chemical treatment is required! Robinia's natural durability comes from its high density and natural compounds that resist decay and insects. Over time, it develops a silver-grey patina which doesn't affect its structural integrity. If you prefer to maintain the original color, you can apply wood oil annually, but it's purely aesthetic.

Yes, absolutely! Robinia is one of the most sustainable timber choices available. It's a fast-growing European species that doesn't require long-distance shipping like tropical hardwoods. It needs no chemical treatment, is fully biodegradable, and our timber comes from FSC-certified sustainable forests.

Robinia is ideal for outdoor construction, landscaping, playground equipment, decking, fencing, pergolas, garden furniture, vineyard posts, railway sleepers, marine applications, bridges, and structural timber framing. Its strength and durability make it suitable for any application requiring long-lasting outdoor timber.

Robinia matches or exceeds tropical hardwoods in durability and strength while being more sustainable and cost-effective. It has similar density to Teak, superior rot resistance, and doesn't require long-distance shipping. It's an excellent European alternative that supports local forestry and reduces environmental impact.

Every shipment undergoes rigorous quality inspection, including moisture content testing, dimensional accuracy checks, visual grading for defects, and verification of sapwood-free quality.

Moisture content varies depending on the product type: kiln-dried sawn timber typically ranges between 12–18%, while round poles and outdoor products are usually 20–30%, and in fresh (green) condition can reach 30–60%+.

Dimensional accuracy is strictly controlled, typically within ±2–5 mm tolerance, ensuring consistency and reliability.

We maintain detailed quality records and only ship timber that meets our strict quality standards.

Absolutely! Our team has extensive experience with Robinia timber applications.
